Yogyakarta, Voicejogja.com – The energetic footsteps of children visiting Taman Pintar are no longer hindered by parking distances. Amidst the ongoing reorganization of Yogyakarta’s city center, access to this educational hub remains a priority, ensuring every journey is comfortable and secure.
A free shuttle service has been introduced to guarantee that educational visits continue without a hitch. For Yogyakarta, this is more than just transportation; it is a commitment to preserving a holistic learning experience for every visitor.
Access Adjustments in the City Center
The reorganization of parking zones, including the closure of the Senopati bus parking area since March 14, 2026, has shifted tourist arrival patterns. In response, Taman Pintar has implemented a direct escort system for every group, managing their journey from arrival to departure.
Karmila, Head of the Yogyakarta City Cultural Park Management Unit (UPT), emphasized the importance of maintaining service quality during this transition.
“Since these changes took effect, we have been providing direct assistance for every group, ensuring a smooth flow from the moment they arrive until they head home,” she stated.
Taman Pintar: Free Shuttle for Group Reservations
As a practical solution, a complimentary shuttle service is available for groups with prior reservations. Visitors are directed to designated drop-off points for efficiency. Groups parking at Ngabean or Menara Kopi can be dropped off at Jalan Tilarso (near Remujung), with a pickup service ready once their visit concludes.
“We provide a free round-trip shuttle service using our own fleet,” Karmila explained.
Currently, the available fleet can transport approximately 60 passengers per trip. If demand increases, the department coordinates with other regional agencies to provide additional vehicle support.
Assistance for All Visitors
For groups without reservations, on-ground assistance is still provided. Dedicated staff ensure that all visitors can reach the site safely. Moving forward, the city aims to develop even more representative drop-off points that integrate seamlessly with other destinations in the heart of Yogyakarta.
One potential option is the Sriwedani area, though it currently requires further adjustment to accommodate bus maneuvers.
Upholding Comfort and Educational Quality
These efforts go hand-in-hand with continuous improvements within the park. Taman Pintar consistently maintains and upgrades its exhibits and zones. Public feedback is vital to this process, ensuring that all educational tools remain functional and safe.
“We carefully review public input as part of our evaluation. Routine maintenance is ongoing, and several zones are being modernized,” Karmila added.
A Changing City, A Preserved Experience
The city’s reorganization is a step toward more orderly public spaces. Simultaneously, access to educational tourism is being safeguarded to ensure its core mission remains intact.
For Yogyakarta, keeping Taman Pintar accessible for children and students means nurturing the future. a place of learning that is reachable, safe, and always relevant.(Oi)
